BOREEN POINT CAMPGROUND

Public BBQ

Boreen Point Campground stretches along the waterfront of Lake Cootharaba, southwest of the town. Powered concrete slab sites sit across the grounds, with sites 10 and 11 being most popular for their proximity to the lake. The amenities stay remarkably clean throughout the day thanks to consistent maintenance. A playground keeps kids occupied, and walking tracks follow the shoreline. The ground is hard and dry, so tent campers need solid pegs. There's no onsite water fill for caravan tanks, but the local pub provides this service. A duck has become something of a local celebrity with visiting families. Last-minute bookings and after-hours arrivals are handled without fuss. Off-lead dogs appear despite signage, though compliance varies. Staff are helpful and friendly. The combination of lake access, clean facilities, and relaxed atmosphere makes it popular with families looking for a few days away.
